About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Helsinki. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data warehousing (DWH) projects, leveraging AWS technologies and Snowflake. You'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions critical for our business operations and decision-making processes.



Key Responsibilities

- Data Warehousing: Design, develop, and maintain robust data warehousing solutions using AWS and Snowflake.

- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.

- Optimization: Optimize data workflows and performance within the cloud environment.

- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.



Required Skills & Experience

- AWS Expertise: Proven experience with AWS services, particularly in data-related services like Redshift, S3, and Glue.

- Snowflake Experience: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake.

- Data Management: Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing best practices.

- Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, and experience with programming languages like Python or Scala is a plus.

- Communication Skills: Must be fluent in Finnish to effectively collaborate with our local team and clients.

The role:

As a DevOps Engineer we can offer you ownership projects as you help build and scale our AWS hosted platform. This role combines building new AWS infrastructure using Terraform and containerizing our platform with Kubernetes (EKS). We are looking into migrating our platform into AWS Serverless so will certainly be training people on AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

Progression:

With ownership on DevOps projects, there's a clear progression into a Senior role within the team. With AWS being one of our biggest customers we also doing lot's of work trailing newer technologies such as GenAI, AI & ML and AWS Serverless - we can offer dedicated training across all these areas!

Experience we're looking for:

* AWS experience, core services, networking (VPC) & Security
* We use Terraform for IaC

* Any CI/CD tooling

They are a Swedish Cloud-platform provider for business-critical services and sensitive data within the country, offering a robust platform as an alternative to the global Cloud providers, with a focus on being the most trusted private Cloud provider in Sweden, a mission which everyone is a part of!



Various focus areas including IaaS with Openstack, Containers as-a-service & one of the first providers of private kubernetes, PaaS, Connectivity, security, monitoring etc.



Joining their Site reliability team which builds and manages the entire infrastructure and Kubernetes service, running on Linux and Opensource, a team of super competent engineers at the top of their field specializing in SRE, Devops, Cloud-ops etc, where everyone is able to take ownership and bring their ideas to the table.



Ideal requirements;



-Strong experience within DevOps &/ SRE positions

-Solid experience in Linux operating systems

-Deep knowledge and experience in e.g. OpenStack, or other IaaS,

-Infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform and Ansible

-Monitoring, preferably Prometheus and ELK

-Python or other development experience

-Keen interest in technology and likes problem-solving

Duties included;
