About the role

In this role, you'll lead a team of skilled data engineers to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures using cloud-native solutions. You'll collaborate with diverse experts to tackle complex challenges, ensuring seamless data operations while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.



Key responsibilities

Not only with lead and developing a high-performing data engineering team be a key aspect of this role but also driving the implementation of best practices in data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing. So it is important that you enjoy being hands on, while supporting your unit. You will also:

* Define and implement Data Governance and Privacy initiatives
* Oversee the development and deployment of AWS-based data platforms, ensuring they meet performance and business goals
* Drive strategic decision-making on a cross-functional basis
* Cultivate a enviro of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning



What should you bring

* Proven experience mentoring and managing engineering teams - preferably within data
* Expertise in the AWS ecosystem, ideally with a focus on data services
* Strong skills within the data ecosystem: data modelling, query optimization, big data technologies, etc.
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting complex systems
* Proficiency in Agile methodologies and technical documentation
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills
