We are a leading technology company in the Marine and Energy markets, committed to a cleaner, more sustainable future. We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Developer to join our team in developing our global Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) solution. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical innovation and make a significant impact in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in the design and development of software solutions for VTS.

- Design software architecture focused on microservices, deployment, containerization, system integrations within the marine ecosystem, and scalable solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments.

- Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and methodologies, proposing their benefits and costs to decision-makers and implementing them in practice.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies to design and implement solutions for complex maritime challenges.

- Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and ensuring the propagation of best practices.



Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C++ on Windows (VS), including a solid understanding of software patterns, TCP, UDP, and socket programming. Familiarity with Conan and Qt, and proficiency with Git. Good communication skills in English.

- Additional experience in the following areas is a plus: C++ on Linux, Perl, Docker, GitHub Actions, scripting, C#, SQL. Proficiency in TypeScript, .NET, Angular, or other web technologies is highly advantageous.

- Ability to communicate abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience in the maritime industry, particularly in port operations or maritime logistics, is highly beneficial. Knowledge of supply chain and logistics industry practices is also advantageous.

- Experience with designing and configuring solutions for both on-premises and Azure cloud deployments, including infrastructure setup, networking configurations, security protocols, and deployment strategies, is a significant plus.
