Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Container Platform Architect/Engineer to lead our cloud migration project to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). This role is pivotal in leveraging your expertise to guide the technical aspects of the migration while serving as a Subject Matter Expert to provide support and guidance for the project team.



Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the cloud migration efforts to Amazon EKS, ensuring a smooth transition and adherence to best practices throughout the migration lifecycle.
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on EKS and containerization technologies, providing insights and answering technical questions for the team.
* Implement and manage Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, specifically designed for integration with EKS.
* Develop and maintain container management solutions using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Troubleshoot and debug applications deployed in containerized environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Design and implement DevOps practices, including defining and managing CI/CD pipelines.
* Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
* Write and maintain scripts in languages such as Python and Bash to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency.
* Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly and facilitate project success.



Key Attributes of an Ideal Candidate:

* Cloud Migration Experience: Proven hands-on experience conducting migration projects specifically to EKS, with a solid understanding of the migration lifecycle.
* Strong Technical Knowledge:
* Expertise in implementing COTS products within Amazon EKS.
* Proficient with container management technologies and engineering practices, demonstrating solid development troubleshooting skills.
* Technical Expertise:
* Deep knowledge of containerization technologies (EKS, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes) and extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM, VPC, Lambda).
* DevOps and CI/CD Skills: Strong background in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, emphasizing DevOps methodologies.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

* Managing, Scaling, and Automating AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee and optimise cloud environments for automation, scalability, and reliability, ensuring efficient cloud operations.
