Role Purpose:

We are entering an exciting phase of digital transformation, with a strategic focus on optimizing people and processes to build a sustainable team capable of running and operating digital platforms efficiently. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and driving this evolving landscape.

As the Process Engineering Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to orchestrate and facilitate the development and continuous improvement of processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining workflows, enhancing collaboration, and fostering a culture of process excellence. Through your leadership, you will bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling a sustainable operating model for data and digital platforms and accelerating our digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

* Baseline and comprehensively document the software development processes across digital and data platform teams, establishing a solid foundation for process optimisation.
* Plan, facilitate, and manage workshops with engineering teams to identify process improvement opportunities and drive collaborative solutions.
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams, managers, and architects to establish baselines and implement effective methodologies for measuring and improving developer productivity.
* Develop and implement a robust framework for continuous process improvement, enabling platforms to deliver faster and more efficiently.
* Work closely with engineering managers and teams to define and implement process-level KPIs and reporting mechanisms, facilitating progress tracking and data-driven decision-making.
* Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to upskill teams on newly defined processes, ensuring seamless adoption and integration.
* Spearhead research and development initiatives to explore innovative approaches to process documentation, measurement, and improvement, fostering a culture of documentation and enhancing engineer productivity.
* Document best practices, create checklists, and establish team principles that promote an inner-source culture philosophy, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven track record in business analysis, organising workshops, data analysis, and process engineering within technical environments.
* Proficiency in BPML, UML, Flow Diagrams, and tools like Confluence, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, and Visio.
* Experience in designing and implementing surveys for process efficiency and productivity measurement.
* Strong knowledge of e-commerce, microservices, CRM, and data lake architectures.
* Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and present them clearly.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with Lean methodologies and SAFe (Scaled Agile) frameworks.
* Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities, with the ability to adapt to diverse contexts and audiences.

Role Overview: We are excited to announce a newly created role for a Business Process Lead to join our team. This position is integral to our scaled agile framework, focusing on consolidating and optimizing software engineering processes across 10-11 teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process Consolidation: Baseline all software engineering processes through workshops and engagements with scrum masters.
* Workshop Management: Experience in running and driving workshops, documenting processes, and storing data effectively.
* Process Optimization: Develop processes to enhance collaboration and developer productivity, using best practices and feedback.
* Community of Practice: Establish and lead a community of practice, guiding team members, and setting KPIs to measure progress.
* Documentation: Create training materials, design surveys, document maturity processes, and gather feedback to improve practices.
* Technical Understanding: Proficient in UML, flow diagrams, e-commerce, CRM, microservices, and digital payments.

Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Essential Qualifications:

* Background in Agile software development, preferably in a technology-driven organization.
* Experience in business processes, software development
* Proposing new processes, and success factors to define a new process
* Strong people skills with the ability to impact and influence indirectly.
* Proven track record of improving engineering team processes and productivity.
* Familiarity with documenting processes, drawing process diagrams, and optimizing workflows.

Interview Process:
